John W. Duarte

This project involved designing a logo for John W. Duarte - an influential classical guitarist, composer and writer. Commissioned by his son, I created this identity alongside a centenary logo celebrating 100 years since Duarte’s birth for use on his website and socials. They were designed to feel timeless and respectful, with a nod to a guitar.

His son shared that his father liked to wear bright colours, with orange and red being a favourite so I made sure to incorporate that into the design. For the centenary logo I removed the navy colour in favour of gold with a red ribbon, giving the mark a commemorative, medal-like quality.
