Norwich City Football Club Brand Evolution
In 2019 I helped initiate the process of changing the club crest and subsequent brand identity.
We launched in June 2022 on the club’s 120 year anniversary, which also marked 50 years since the crest was first worn on the kit.
As part of a small working group from the club, we worked with SomeOne agency to develop a much stronger brand, using the city’s history in the textile industry to create a bespoke typeface (Norwich Weave), brand property, and extended colour palette. The agency started us off with some iconography and style guide which we built on in house as and when needed.
The stadium exterior was also lacking yellow and green so we took this opportunity to bring it to life with the new branding.
